My journey started over a year ago when I was inspired by my very own toddler to write children's picture book.  I entered this competition with very little expectations and was ecstatic to learned that I was one of the finalists.  I was paired with Michelle Munger, an up-and-coming new artist from Texas, to illustrate my story. 

This competition has been an extraordinary experience for me thus far!!!  Not only have I learned about the book industry, but also about Marketing in general...  and I surely have been introduced to the world and value of Social Media Networking.

I created a facebook account a few weeks ago and must admit that Facebook is really really cool.  I joined a few groups and posted a few comments in the discussion forums.  To my surprise, I've received a few replies with some really helpful info.  Social networking is awesome!

I am one of the 12 finalists in the ABC Children's book contest.  Please visit: www.abcbookcompetition.org in September 2009 when my story "Hello My Friends" will be posted on the website.  Internet voting will occur 9/20/09 - 10/04/09.
